Delphi One Day Trip

The archaeological site of Delphi is located in upper central Greece, on multiple terraces along the slope of Mount Parnassus and includes the Sanctuary of Apollo and the site of the ancient Oracle. It is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in having had a phenomenal influence in the Ancient world, as it is evidenced by the rich monuments which were built there.
The schedule begins with a tour by our luxurious bus, across all the landscapes in Attica until we arrive to our destination.
During our trip we see the city of Theva, the birthplace of King Oedipus.

On Delphi site we visit the following landmarks:
• The Temple of Phoebus Apollo
• The Oracle of Delphi
• The stadium of the Delphi sanctuary where the Pythian Games took place.
• The Stoa of the Athenians which was built in the Ionic order and consists of seven fluted columns, unusually carved from single pieces of stone.
• The Amphictyonic Council; a council of representatives from six Greek tribes that controlled Delphi
• The theatre, the Hippodrome and the Tholos
• The Castalian spring
• The Delphi Archaeological Museum
